Dr. Amy Van Gels received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University in 2002.  She then graduated from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2007 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.  In small animal clinical practice, Dr. Van Gels especially enjoys dentistry, preventative medicine, ophthalmology, and behavior.  Writing of all kinds, including but not limited to scientific, fiction, and blogs, has been a driving passion throughout her life.  Personally, Dr. Van Gels lives in Gilbert, Arizona with her husband, two young children, a spunky Jack Russell Terrier and a lovable shepherd mix.
